How did the high school football season go overall?
“The season went great for both the program and me individually. We captured the first county championship in school history, and I was also named 2nd team all-county.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I am still in the midst of basketball season, but my plans for the offseason are to continue to work in the weight room and also work on my lateral quickness.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“I am trying to improve on my speed and quickness. It starts in the weight room, but also, I’m starting to incorporate jump rope and ladder workouts.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I think the team next year has a chance to be the best in school history. We are returning lots of pieces, like Jack Baxter, Casey Pung, Drew Ross and Quinn Kelley, that were productive last year, and we can build off of that.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“I think every team on the schedule will be a challenge as every year is a new year in high school football. With all the seniors graduating, it causes each team to be different every year, but programs like Glenelg and River Hill are always special games for me personally.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I want to play college football. It’s been a dream of mine since I was a kid and still is today.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Bucknell University and Columbia University have both invited me to Junior days and I’m very excited and grateful for both. I am heading up to Bucknell this weekend and plan on going to Columbia in March or April.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I was born in Oregon, so I have been an Oregon Duck fan ever since I was young. I loved their flashy offense, bright uniforms, and I idolized Marcus Mariota. I still root for them today and hope Justin Hebert gets drafted to my L.A. Chargers.”
