What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I have been lifting 5 days a week while working on leg drive and power. I am also getting in cardio to prepare for the upcoming summer workouts.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“A lot of things have been fixed since last year for me as a punter. Overall, I have become more consistent with my punts and kicks and have been able to add a lot more power behind them, in result to lifting and training from the offseason.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“I’m still trying to work on my consistency, as it can still get better. I am also working on agility and speed so I can play wide receiver.”
How has Covid-19 factored into your workouts?
“I have not been able to go to the gym and workout, which has led to a couple things. I’ve gotten to work out at my neighbors where there is a full rack and weights. Punting and kicking wise, it has been hard to find fields that I can kick on but thank fully I have found a couple that are open and available for me to use.”
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I feel we’re going to do very well. Coming off of a strong season last year, I feel we have the tools in all of our positions to make this season a good one. Our coaching staff has also been preparing us and getting us fine-tuned for the 2020 season.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“The toughest competition on our schedule this year will either be Northern, North Point, or St. Charles. These teams all have good athletes and that will make the competition strong.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against this fall?
“There are a few players from North Point that we definitely need to watch out for.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I want to play football in college.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have emailed a few schools, and some have replied back to me, but I have not received any offers or anything like that yet.”
Have you made any college trips yet
“I have not made any college trips yet. I was planning on attending a couple in the summer, but due to COVID-19, I have not been able to attend these.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“As of now no because the virus.”
What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“I had camps lined up with about 6-7 colleges this summer, but the virus caused all of those to be canceled.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up was by far the UNC Tar Heels. I’ve always grown up rooting and cheering them.”
