How did the football season go for your team?
“I’d say it was a really good season. We started off slow, but we shocked everyone by making the conference championship game. It was a good season for us.”
What are your workout plans now going forward?
“I actually got hurt in the championship game, so I’ll be rehabbing to get ready for college.”
What happened on the injury?
“The first series of the game I was running the ball. I had a bad plant and tore my ACL and MCL.”
Have you had surgery yet?
“I am having surgery this week and I believe it will be six-weeks before I go back to get it checked out to see if I need to do anything else.”
Why did you pick Navy?
“Really the family aspect and brotherhood of it really. When I go to games, all of the coaches are very welcoming. They players are really supportive of each other and have each other’s backs. They are there for each other and play as a team. That is what we are looking for.”
What other colleges were being considered?
“Fordham, Army, and William and Mary.”
What was the hardest part of recruiting?
“Just trusting the process. I saw my friends get offers kind of early from power five schools. It was trusting the process and letting it flow. I couldn’t get too excited and rush it.”
What did have the Navy coaches said after your injury?
“They are there for me. They are honoring the scholarship. They told me that if I need anything, they are there for me.”
When are you taking your official visit there?
“I haven’t scheduled it yet, but we’ll start talking about that soon.”
