How has the preparation been going for this upcoming season?
“The preparation for the upcoming season has been good. My team has been working out Monday through Thursday since winter and I’ve personally gotten faster, stronger, and bigger.”
What are your goals for the season?
“My goals for the season is to get 2,000-plus yards and be the leading rusher in the area. Also, I want to win a state championship with my team my senior year.”
What areas do you feel your team needs to improve on?
“I feel my team needs to improve on tempo and starting off strong. In the past, we started slow and heated up later in games.”
Who is your opponent in the season opener and how do you feel about them overall?
“Oxon Hill High School. They are good as a team talent wise and have good coaching. They are a respectable team, but I feel we can win by a margin.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve texted the Monmouth, Howard, Boston College, Seton Hill, Buffalo, Georgetown, Bowie State, and William and Mary coaches. Those are the coaches that responded.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Yale, Fordham, and Davidson have mailed me letters, so I’d say those schools. Other than that, it’s all pretty even.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I visited Yale and Maryland for Junior Day trips and I’ve attended Towson’s spring practice.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“No, not at the moment.”
What camps did you do this summer and how did they go?
“I’ve attended Pitt’s camp where Coach A. Powell told me I was the second-best RB out all the camps. I’ve attended Maryland’s camp where Coach Brookes told me I performed well. I attended Fordham’s camp, Yale’s camp, and Georgetown’s camp where all the coaches at those camps said I performed well and had good feet. They asked me to send in my first 3 games of the season.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I liked Florida when Tim Tebow was a star player there, and after I’ve liked Virginia Tech growing up.”
