What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I have been focusing on my core lifts and explosive lifts to help me get a better get off on my reads and I have been focusing more on endurance how long can I push my body at 100%. I've been going at it daily in order to build something that many people struggle with which is endurance so I can go hard for 4 quarters.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“Endurance. I feel like I have my speed down pat. Most people are fast at this level of ball but what separates most athletes is how long can you pound your opponent. I want to be able to do it every play all 4 quarters. I want to make my opponent quit.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“My first couple steps in my read. This is what can really separate subpar linebackers from the great ones, so I have been focusing a lot on my steps and reading and reacting to be able to get to the ball slot faster.”
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I feel like we can win a championship. We have guys at every level who are explosive and who can bang with the top athletes in the state. I'm very confident this year we can bring the championship home.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Huntingtown. They were very good last year, and they demand a lot of respect. This will test our team and help us get prepared. It will lay the groundwork for the rest of the season.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I do want to play sports in college. I want to play college football for a University that welcomes and accepts me.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Bucknell, Davidson, Lafayette, and Army are the big ones who are showing me a lot of interest.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Davidson has been after me for a while since my sophomore year and we have hit it off well.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I'm looking to go back to Army, Davidson, and Lafayette soon. I love all their programs and want to see what they really have to offer.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Florida State. They have been my favorite college since I was a kid and they have a tradition like no other. Many Hall of Famers have walked through those doors.”
