What were your initial thoughts when the football season was postponed until the spring?
“Since I tore my ACL in the summer, I was relieved that I could still have a junior season and be ready to go for the spring season.”
What are your workout plans at this point going forward?
“In addition to my daily rehab, I continue to work on my upper body strength and my core.”
What are you trying to improve on the most at this point?
“Currently, my new best friend is the Jugs machine so I can catch more passes out of the backfield or in the slot. This was a priority for me this offseason already. I’m also working to improve my zone reads pre and post-snap with my RB trainer. Speed & flexibility are also key for me. I’ve become a Bruce Lee fan where I want to “be like water” and flow over, under or right through the cracks.”
How do you believe your high school team will be for this upcoming season?
“Even if our BC and Penn State senior commits sit out due to COVID, we added talent this offseason. I believe our biggest competitor remains ourselves. We just need to execute on what our coaches teach us, and we’ll be ready to compete like always.”
What would be your thoughts if the state changed their mind regarding fall football?
“I can only control how I think and what I do. Whatever the state does, I will adjust my plans.”
What sport do you want to play at the college level?
“Football. I played basketball in the youth leagues, but I always fouled out of games.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I get new e-mails and connections every week. I’ve put together a more comprehensive list now to better evaluate each school by my position, overall team/culture, academics and their Business school rankings for my major. While the NFL is every serious player’s dream, my degree will last me a lifetime.”
Have any colleges offered you?
“I leave that to my coaches as we’ve developed a plan.”
What colleges are you trying to visit this fall?
“Although visits were impacted by COVID, I’d like to see Duke, Syracuse, UConn and Vanderbilt. I’d also like to see Air Force play at home, but it’s a long trip.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My dad went to Alabama when Coach Bryant was there, and my first official football camp was with Coach Saban when I was 9 years old. He’s yelled at me to do better and complimented me. I’m used to both now.”
