What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I have been working on getting more explosive and stronger. I have also been doing a lot of cardio to get prepared to play both sides of the ball next year. Specifically, I have been doing track workouts, strength training, and skill training. Before we had to stay home, I would practice 1 on 1s against D1 college receivers to sharpen my man to man cover skills even more.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“Trusting instincts, strength, and speed. I’m now 6’2 185lbs and can run a 4.40 40yd dash. I also am able to come faster out of my break.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“Play recognition and becoming more of a vocal leader by bringing more energy to the team.”
How has Covid-19 factored into your workouts?
“Since our team is unable to work out together, I have not been able to display leadership in the weight room. I've still been able to continue my workouts though.”
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“Last year we came short of an IAC title, but I feel good about this year. We have some younger players ready to step up. I also will contribute to the team even more. We have a lot of talent in the team and not many numbers. That was something we’ve always had to deal with. I feel we will win the IAC title this year.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Archbishop Spalding and Episcopal.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against this fall?
“I don’t know of an individual player that will be too much of a challenge.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I want to play football.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Liberty University has offered. Old Dominion, Tennessee, and Purdue have shown interest.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“No.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I was planning to visit colleges this summer.”
What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“The UA Camp Series, Rivals Camp, FBU camp, Penn State camp, Maryland Camp, Ohio State camp, and Clemson camp.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“No, I just liked football. I liked to see the top teams in college football going at it.”
