MD State Football Poll

There are now two Allegany County teams in the latest edition of the Maryland High School football Top 25 poll. Mountain Ridge has been inserted into the poll for the first time in school history. Fort Hill isn't far behind them. Mountain Ridge is at 21, Fort Hill at 22. Congratulations to both schools.

It is great representation of Allegany County football.

I believe in 1997, it was the only time ever that 3 Allegany Co. schools ended the year in the final rankings (I think they only went up to 20 back then). FH ended at 2. I thought Beall ended at 18 and Allegany at 19 but MD Prep has Beall and Alco tied for 19.
