Week 2 local area CAYFL scores.

D1 Patriots 60 Southern 0
D2 Patriots 46 Southern 0

D1 Ridgeley 26 Northern 23
D2 Ridgeley 30 Northern 0

D1 Miners 35 Braddock 6
D2 Miners 12 Braddock 0

Congrats to the Frostburg/Westmar Miners. I saw them last week vs. the Patriots and they are pretry decent. In a few more years I think Mountain Ridge can be competitive again.

Can't wait to see this Patriots team go through FH. They are an extremely gifted group with speed and athletes everywhere.

The 8th grade group in Washington are all around athletes. They are amazing. Braddock has a good 6 grade class. They looked awful today as a team.

so did you or did you not talk to either Todd about FH/ Dunbar?

Lol. No I didn't talk to Todd. Dunbar said they were both open week 6, FH did not get back to them they could not wait so they scheduled someone. Allegany and Dunbar were both open week 1, the deal got done quick. Seems every year on here Todd says Dunbar will not leave Baltimore to play which was proven wrong. End of story. Mic drop. Thank you very much!!!!

See, was that so hard? Wow, I feel I am in the presence of greatness... so we are to believe that you didn't talk to the local guys but you talked to Dunbar....."Dunbar said"......WOW IMPRESSIVE !!!!!!

Why do some folks that have no involvement in these situations post fantasy as if it is fact on the same topic over and over again? We have been through this already. It's awesome that Alco played Dunbar. I hope Alco opens with Dunbar every season. It's good for Cumberland. Everyone on both sides of town should leave it at that.

But here it is again...
"Dunbar said they were both open week 6 " Huh?
Dunbar has Poly week 6 for starters. They always play Poly. Fort Hill did all it could to get Dunbar for Week 1. Dunbar chose to play Alco, not Fort Hill much like Chestnut Ridge, Boonsboro, Williamsport and Northern have done. Dig into that hat all you want because if I have to explain it then we are just wasting time. Let's just say I could offer any of those four schools a record setting paycheck to play FH and they wouldn't take the game to save their life.

Then Fort Hill tried to get Dunbar for Week 5 at their place where they now have an open spot because IMG later backed out. Dunbar did not want two Cumberland schools on their schedule and I really don't call out Dunbar coach Lawrence Smith for that. He knows what he is doing. Now tell us all again how FH did not want to play Dunbar. In fact, I had to listen to clowns on here tell me (and still try to tell me) FH ducked Middletown week 1 because we were trying to nail down Dunbar. Then when Dunbar fell through I personally called Middletown to set up a game but they filled the hole. The fantasy then becomes FH didn't want Dunbar or Middletown. So I go out and get Melbourne CC and Friendship. Two teams that according to reputable sources would flatten anyone else on FH, Keyser or Alco's schedule while both are continued listed favorites over Middletown. On top of that, FH has to pay a hefty sum to make the Melbourne CC game happen.

In the simplest of explanations...why would FH want to duck Dunbar and Middletown in favor of picking up expensive Melbourne CC and Friendship? Alex Trebek says please phrase your answer in the form of a question. The logic is really blind here.

This guy (or woman) wants to take shots at fh anytime he or she gets the chance. Alco plays southern and northern and this year they picked up Dunbar and good for them. FH plays MCC and FA. She now minimizes FA. FH won't get the chance to play northern and southern so just sit back and enjoy your smooth ride to the post season ma'am while FH white knuckles it.

In not so many words, sums up my explanation on the other post. FCA is more difficult of an opponent than Dunbar. No other way to put it. That also doesn't discredit Alco's win!

Nothing should discredit the Alco win. That was huge! I tip my hat to Coach Hansel for not just getting the game, but winning it too. Awesome program builder for Big Blue.
