he was arguably their best player in the first matchup. Alco will probably lean on the QB a little more. Everytime I see him (QB Bratton) play he amazes me no matter the sport he is playing. One of the best 3 sport athletes to come through the ranks in a long time. FH is without 2 injured DB/RB's so it should open up things for Alco to throw. Alco 20 FH 13 in the JV game.

yeah the last JV Game vs. FH Llewellyn carried Alco on his back in the 2nd half to get the win. I cant see the Campers JV winning this one without him.

they just finished 8-1 with 4 studs on varsity and 3 starters out for the entire game or more than half the game tonight

I have not seen so many "little guys" who pack quite a punch. FHs JV team is not a crew of overly big kids...but damn some of those guys were laying down some much bigger players across the ball. They played much bigger than what they looked.
Mad props to #32. Freshman playing up on JV. He stole the show offensively for the Sentinels tonight.
And no slouches on the Alco JV side either. #15 and 16 had great games. And I think the Preaskorn boy was in on 75% of the tackles.
Two fairly evenly matched games tonight, even with the injuries and players playing on varsity. Extra points were the difference. Definitely a nice bang for the buck.

Allegany has 3 kids on varsity, 1 is a kicker though. Alco also has a running back / lb hurt and out. Alco finishes 7-2 not terrible just couldn't get it done tonight. As I watched the freshman game kind of got the feeling Alco dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.
Sounds like both games were what they were supposed to be, intense and entertaining. Seems like both schools have bright futures with these underclassmen. I know Southern defeated Northern JV last night to finish the year undefeated so hope the future is brighter @ SHS also.

Alco65, this is a freshmen game only between SHS and Ft Hill. It was originally scheduled for the 5th game of the year but Ft Hill requested it be moved to Monday, November 9th @ SHS, however it has since been moved to Ft Hill on Monday. Southern JV completed their season last night against Northern and finished the year 7-0.

They had 7 sophomores on the team @ the beginning of the year and finished with 4 sophomores. It was mostly freshmen but they played JV teams. The freshmen play only three freshmen games this year, they defeated both Hedgesville and Alco (great game, Shirey, Swinton, Bauer are the real deal) and now they finish up with Ft Hill. Northern score was 22-0.
