I have a little trivia for you all. Lets see who can come up with the right answer. I will be on again tomorrow to see if anyone got it right or not. OK...

On Saturday,November 25th, 1954 the usual Turkeyday game between ALCO and Fort Hill took place. FH won the game 14-7 when FH's Jerry Landis scored a TD with .45 seconds left in the game for the win. Roy Lester was the Alco coach and Hahn for Big Red. That would be the last year for what change? Keep in mind that was 65 years ago and this year (2019) it will again make an appearance on one of the two aforementioned teams.

Ponder this one and I will be back on tomorrow with the answer.

GOOD JOB LAG! That is correct. That was the last time the Campers wore white helmets. However Friday night they will wear white helmets with a Large script "A" on each side. Not sure if any other feature will be on the "A".

I do remember when a single player wore a white helmet because it was a last minute replacement.... mid sixties I think.

I like that change up. I have always been a fan of the Penn State all white with the white helmets, and when FH wears there away all white. How many helmet changes has Allegany and Fort Hill had over the years. As long as Ive been around,Allegany had the blue helmet and for years just had the jersey number on the side, then most recently had the arrow. I think in the 80’s FH had the jersey number on both sides, then went with the FH on both sides and if not mistaking maybe highlighted in black. Then in 90’s to date FH on one side and number on the other. I’m not for sure on all that so correct me if I’m wrong. But the white helmets with the big A gonna be awesome to see. I’m a big fan of the uniform, helmet change up. Martinsburg for a number of years has been back and fourth with the orange helmet and black helmet.

Wow, I thought that response would of really stirred the pot, lol, all in fun though. But really think the white helmets will look pretty neat, old school throw back.
