Later tonight it will be announced that Fort Hill Home games are going to be live streamed on www.forthillfootball.com. This is a great way to connect fans to the program, provide exposure for the players, and give back to support football. 10% will be given back directly to the program, and it is the first and only media outlet who has come forward to do that. We have contracted with WCBC to provide the announcers for the game, but this is being produced and funded by New Grace Media in Cumberland. We will also be selling digital downloads of the game for $9.99. We look forward to providing great content and reasonable prices, all to support local high school sports.

What's wrong with the current Commercial Video Services delayed telecasts - you know, pay the money and go to the game or watch it delayed if you can't make it. Local businesses pay for commercial time on those delayed broadcasts.
So, now they want you to pay and watch commercials. Is that it?
Like everything else these days, somebody wants to find a way to choke anything for a few more dollars. All they are going to do is try to drain the advertising from the current service that promotes both schools.
I hope it goes under.
How much is it??? Is the $9.99 for a live stream or a copy of the finished game? There is nothing wrong with the current way that anyone decides to do something. The interesting thing is that we are give 10% back to the program and 5.5% to each sub group. Read the article in Times News one month ago where EVERY media outlet said no to helping the program. We came to the table offering 10% and have some very substantial people supporting this venture.
We are also very different in that we are shooting in high def, our cameras are wireless with no cords across the field and are targeting a segment of people who live out of town who desire to watch it live. Business is about finding a niche, and there is one in large part due to the lack of progress. All parties are great people but that doesn't mean that progress can't be made. There is still a market for commercial video and we wish them the best.
So in addition to the 10%, we are coordinating student involvement to help production and giving them a scholarship to help with college.
So with all that we are doing, I hope it doesn't go under and you should hope the same as well.
