Impressed with Southern

I was quite impressed with Southern today in their scrimmage at Mountain Ridge. Offense looked very smooth and defense was very stout. They have a tough first three weeks but I will be very interested to see how they end up after that stretch. They could ruin some teams playoff hopes.

Glad to hear the Rams are doing well. Hope to see them on FH's schedule in the future.

I know they tried to get back with Fort Hill this year but, my understanding, could not get schedules to work out. SHS did look decent but offense started slow. Defense was pretty sound.

How is Mountain Ridge going to do this year? Curious what there numbers are.

Not quite sure. They lost a lot to graduation but do have a lot of Juniors who are Seniors this year. Looked very good against B. Springs, less as good against Southern, disappointed I won't be able to make the Boonsboro one on Thursday. Would probably tell a lot more after that. Numbers wise, they were between 25 and 30. A bit hard to tell due to JV scrimmaging at same time.
