Please know the intent of this thread is not to get into a battle of schedules or how bad one team whooped up on another.

After the loss to Fort Hill, Keyser hasn't lost a game.

How good is the Golden Tornado team? Will they give the Campers a game?

Keyser defeated Berkeley Springs, who is 2-4 and lost to Petersburg.

Keyser lost to Fort Hill 59-0.

Keyser beat a decent, but solid, 3 loss Weir team.

Keyser beat Jefferson who is now 0-7.

Keyser beat a 2 win Hampshire team that lost to Mountain Ridge by 5 touchdowns giving up 500 yards rushing to the Miners.

Keyser beat a 1-5 Man Hillbillies team that has been shutout in 3 of their 5 losses.

Keyser was tested twice, getting embarrased by Fort Hill 59-0 but then bouncing back with a nice win over a decent Weir team. Hard to tell how good they are, but I don't see anyway they can prevent Allegany from scoring 42-50 points. I don't see Keyser scoring that on Keyser. Look for Allegany to beat Keyser by at least 4-5 touchdowns.

Good question. I would probably ask the same question about a dozen or so teams from this area. How good or bad are some of these teams? I made a comment last night to a guy I played with in high school long ago that I don't ever remember large blowouts when we left the field. The worst scores were probably like 42-7 and those were far and few between. Never did we see these overwhelming high scoring blow outs on a repeated basis from just about every team. Alco would rarely ever have beaten a stretch of teams 63-7, 49-8, 48-13. FH would never beat Keyser or Hollidaysburg like they did. Southern would rarely ever be beating a team 42-0 in the second quarter like they did last night. Northern never beat teams 42-0 even on their best years. And long ago we didn't even have the 35 point clock rule. Things have obviously changed, not just with teams but with football scoring in general.

I had a Southern guy last night tell me how bad the Notre Dame game was in Clarksburg. His comment was that area football has become so separated, meaning the gaps were never this huge.

I had an Alco guy last night tell me he thinks Alco struggles with Keyser. I don't see it unless Keyser has found a way to stop the power game. Alco reminds me of last year's FH team in the sense they have a real nice offensive combo of #95 up the gut and #25 on the perimeter with a QB who can beat defenses trying to stop those first two options. I will be very surprised if Alco loses again before Homecoming gets here.

I don't know where FH is right now. Nobody does. They obviously are a good football team, just can't tell how good. My concern is that they are five games in and the starters have yet to see the 4th quarter. The next month should answer much. Everyone knew the back end of the schedule would be the test. Although I did think Keyser would be an early test that turned out not so.

I wouldn't mind making the trip to the Friendliest Town in the USA next week but I'm afraid I'd miss the FH game the next night sitting in traffic trying to get out of the stadium.

Really.... never been there. So, you say the traffic is bad. How many people really go to a high school football game.

Keyser has an on campus parking capacity of about 500 cars between the lower lot, the cul de sac and side roads, and the upper lot by the stadium with buses, media and special passes...and they all converge into a single lane only exit. its a mess.

Yeah, its shitty leaving Greenway sometimes and there are multiple ways out. Keyser, Mountain Ridge and Frankfort are all horrible when it comes to leaving.
What I don't want to be a part of is coming off Haystack every day next year when the new Allegany opens. Two schools getting out at the same time with basically one road out.

I will make my predictions for these games here....

Alco 42 Keyser 20, Keyser Scores 2 late TD's to make it look closer because I think Alco is about 5 TD's better than Keyser. Worst Keyser Team I have seen since the early 90's when they went seasons not winning a game.
Fort Hill 45 MCC 21 This Team will spread the field and make a few big plays but they won't be able to stop FH's power running and there is not teams in FLA that run the ball like we do here with the wing T and they will beat that team up, they do have athletes and a lot of size but believe me they stand up and pass block even when they run the ball and it will get ugly with FH having 400+ yards rushing

Well, you're usually pretty good at this but after looking at the vids on MCC I have to give some weight to their size, speed and depth. FH is big, tough and machine-like but has not played a full game nor have they faced this talent and speed directed against what will be their vulnerability, the pass.

I see FH moving the ball but they do not have the break away speed once they get into the secondary - nor do they have the size and speed to compete with fast, tall and athletic receivers. (Note: MCC quarterback completes around 70% off his passes.)

Allegany? Which team will show up? Okay, here is my homer call.... Alco shows up:

Allegany has no turnovers or returned kickoffs for TDs.

Alco 42
Keyser 12

FH does get 400 yards rushing and it doesn't matter.

FH 27
MCC 40

Close, Dawg.. except Keyser TDs were all in the first half against the starting defense. Thats surprising.

The game ended on a sour note after a Keyser kid was injured and an Alco personal foul. Keyser coaches went apeshit and ref called the game. Alco penalties last night were attrocious.

Keyser's offense was horrible and I am prrety sure it didn't have much to do with Alleganys defense. Jet sweep left jet sweep right, fake jet sweep Ours up the middle. Practically the same formation all night. 1 receiver all night (#11). For their coach playing div 1 ball they don't have much of an offensive scheme but Brady Ours is pretty damn good.

I'll agree Keyser offense is very vanilla, Allegany defense is hit or miss. But also remember Keyser scored on 3 big plays. 2-70 yard runs and a 65 yarder. Allegany also dropped 2 sure td passes inside the keyser 5. Take those 5 plays away it's a 63-0 game. Allegany's D played pretty decent besides those 3 plays in my opinion. Brady Ours is the real deal. Big, strong and quick

Keyser should have scored with a 1st and goal at the 7. Would have changed the game. You can always play the what if game.

That's why they play the games on the field and not a message board. Bottom line if they play the Cumberland schools 10 times each this year they lose 20 games by 4-5 tds each time.

And by your statement that keyser should have scored at the end of the half then Allegany should have scored on the 2 dropped passes. It works both ways

says the guy who is talking about if you takeaway 5 plays what the score would be.

Those multiple big 70 yard runs are a testament to the disastrously porous Alco secondary. They tighten that up, and they are a brand new team.
