Fort Hill is a good Maryland public school that punches above its weight. They probably aren't the 12th best small school in the country but should be in the back end of the Top 25, although they are by far the largest small school ranked here. Here's how CalPreps says they'd stack up against the rest of the Small Schools Top 25:

As you can also see, Fort Hill has 160 more students (using US News data across the board here) than any other school on this list and is one of only two schools with more than 600 students. They would be considered more of a medium sized school in most states.
Fort Hill would be a 4A school in both Texas and Florida (and PA too I'm pretty sure). #3 Mart (TX) is pulling from an almost Hancock-sized student body. I posted this on the MoCo board but most small schools in Maryland are pretty big compared to the small schools in other states:
Texas has the following classifications:
6A 2190+ (252 schools)
- Maryland Equivalent= 21 Largest 4A Schools
5A 1150-2189 (253 schools)
- Maryland Equivalent= 24 Smallest 4A Schools, All 3A Schools, 25 Largest 2A Schools
4A 505-1149 (183 schools)
- Maryland Equivalent= 20 Smallest 2A Schools, 40 Largest 1A Schools
3A 225-504 (211 schools)
- Maryland Equivalent= Washington, Northern Garrett, New Era, Snow Hill
2A 105-224 (187 schools)
- Maryland Equivalent= Hancock
1A 0-104 (142 schools, six-man football)
- Maryland Equivalent= None
