Very nice road win by the Terps today. Down to their 3rd string QB, on the road, against an undefeated Minnesota team. Ty Johnson with the game winning touchdown through a whole reminiscent of his Friday night games verses Keyser High School. 31-24 Terps

I would just like to see Durkin run on 1st down more often. Their more successful drives happen when they rush on 1st down.

Yeah, I agree with that, most drives are more successful when you get 3+ yards on first down. Encouraging quarterback play today. Tough three game stretch ahead.

Technically down to their 4th string QB...

Caleb Henderson who was leading prior to spring game, then he hurt or re-injured his foot.. It was Henderson, Pigrome, Hill, then Bort...
Gotcha, good call, although I don't count him cause he didn't play any part of a game this year.

What wasn't a good call was the delay of game Maryland got penalized for on the first drive. Refs hold up the snap so Minnesota can change defense then flags Maryland when it doesn't get the play off.
What the hell was that?

If Maryland subbed late Minnesota has a certain amount of time to match sub. I imagine it was real late and the time slotted for Minnesota to sub forced the delay of game.

What ever happened to the kid from Frankfort
He couldn't stay out of trouble and DJ was having nothing of it. I believe he saw the writing on the wall with the above mentioned 4 and decided to leave. He wasn't on UMD's roster when it was released.

I thought that would be an illegal substitution penalty on the offense, but it looks like you're right.

The testudo times has a mention of him transferring in an article from February, but doesn't say where.

I remember a few years ago when they started having the refs hold up the snap if the offense subbed a team had the game clock run out at the end of the game while the ref stood over the ball when trying to lineup to kick a FG. Brutal.
