Although American rivalry is nice to have....
...from the announcing perspective...ITS A PAIN IN THE BACK CUSHION!
The rivals series is too much into pushups, chin-ups and making random announcement throughout the game that does not apply to the game.
You listen Saturday and you might hear...Don't forget fans to get your pushup challenge in before the fourth quarter to see which team will win. The same for sit ups and so on.
The even provide you with a file folder with about 40 pages of stuff they want you to say at various time throughout the game. To me, this takes away from the Homecoming game.
Top that with the 50/50 tickets, releasing of the doves at the beginning, national anthem, someone lost a cell phone, car keys, or if you don't move your car...soon...you will be towed.
It is nice to have the Rivalry series come to town every year...but man does it make it difficult for the announcers to keep track of the game and everything else...just my opinion!
