Frostburg movin' up in the world. Live now on the MASN network. I'll have to toggle between games... again.

Many had expected Frostburg to struggle a little stepping up with so few scholarship athletes this year. They are winning 28-0 vs Charleston at the half. Enjoy him while you can, not sure how much longer Coach Fitzgerald will be leading the Bobcats. Some bigger school will likely snatch him up soon as his success is certainly impressive!

Yeah it seems inevitable that he will leave in the next few years.

It was little cold up there tonight in the wind but FSU dominated. 51 Rush attempts and crushed on time of possession. The defense caused 4 turnovers and the special teams covered a back spinning kickoff near the 20.

Frostburg looked legit! Defense was all over the field. Not sure of exact numbers but the Charleston QB was averaging over 300 yards a game. He was held to 170 something last night. May want to go watch them homecoming day against Notre Dame of Ohio. I believe they are ranked 5 or 6 in the country and played in the semis last year. Probably be a better game

Frostburg Can Finish Really Well with only really 1 Big Game left. so 10-1, 9-2 or 8-3 a Great First Season No Matter What Happens.

REMAINING SCHEDULE
AT 0-6 Wheeling
VS Notre Dame College
VS 0-6 Kentucky Wesleyan
AT 3-3 Glenville State

Unfortunately , I heard them say that last night because this is their first year in Div II , they are ineligible for the playoffs. Seems like a silly rule. I mean I can understand it if it is a team moving down in classification but not a team moving UP. They could in fact win the conference and still be frozen out of the playoffs. Even so, turning about to be a great season for the Bobcats and it seems they have a pretty young team.
It seems like Coach Fitzgerald is a great fit at FSU and it may have been offered and he said no, however, that only means the right offer hasn't come yet. Neil Brown was content at Troy until WVU came knocking. They have to do what's best for them and their families. All we can do is enjoy the ride for now.

With FSU now in D2 would his best move to become a mid level D1 coach at say a MAC school or try and become some sort of coordinator at a power 5 school?
