The Falcons have a huge lead at halftime of the Semifinal game. Could we have two local teams with a State Championships this year?

Don't sleep on Roane County. They are a lot like FH. They are going to run run run and if they 0 passes they are okay with that They give up 8 points a game and they won't beat themselves...should be a very good game.

I don’t know anything about Roane County. Frankfort is balanced good running game and good passing game. It’s hard to stop both. More competitive games may have helped as they usually replaced the starters early. At the same time when making the schedule they didn’t know they were getting the transfer from Keyser who has broke out and exploded on both sides of the ball.

Didn’t the starter at tight end transfer from Fort Hill?

Yes, I think so. They had 3 players transfer I believe, which made them much better than expected.

Roane has several games on NFHS including last weeks. They have a bigger line, but not as big as Frankfort and they don't block much past the line of scrimmage. Yes, they do run the ball, with an occasional pass, I'd guess that they'll run 95 to 97% of the time, mostly in between the tackles. They try to get to the outside, but they simply don't have any speed. On defense they remind me of Northern. Up front they're pretty good, pad level is a little high, but they don't cover very well at all in the secondary. Frankfort's receivers will easily get behind these guys. I think that Frankfort wins this one by several touchdowns. Frankfort is just much better in every phase of the game.

Just watched part of Frankfort Williamstown. Williamstown just completely laid down for this game. This team wouldn't have beaten Hancock. I was shocked because I thought that I was going to see Frankfort at their best, but Williamstown was so bad that I really don't know how good Frankfort is. One play stuck that I'm still shaking my head about happened in the second quarter. Williamstown threw a pass into the flats and completed it. The wide-open receiver then ran for about 40 yards across the field before he was tackled. He didn't pick up a single yard! I've seen grade school kids do this but never at the High School level. (With the exception of a certain Sentinel center picking up a fumble against Bell Vocational one time.) I always said that kids want to win, you don't have to teach it, but it certainly wasn't true for this game. Big disappointment!

Wow… Williamstown has a good football program. It was surprising when Frankfort got the big lead, that must be why. I don’t think it will be close this week.

Yes, I saw a couple of their televised games and they were a completely different team last week. They have played larger teams than Frankfort but just had a complete meltdown. Roane County is going to be interesting. Frankfort's passing game might be the difference in this one.

Roane gets the ball first and drives down the field, Frankfort with a big 4th down stop at the 11 yard line to get the ball and on the First play Frankfort takes it to the house 89 yard run play
7-0

Roane County Fumbles Frankfort Recovers and scores on the first play.
2 Offensive Plays Frankfort 14-0
Roane County has moved the ball both times but were stopped and then fumbled on a 3rd down after picking up the first down!!

Right now, I’m thinking to myself as Frankfort goes up 28–0, how good is this team they’re playing actually they seem pretty clueless out there

In the first half Frankfort ran 12 plays and 4 of those were touchdowns, They haven’t even needed to pass.

Frankforts line is excellent. Roane's defense is highly suspect. Total mismatch.

I will say the TV coverage has been excellent. It was painful watching the Maryland set up.

Frankfort was good this year, probably their best year and it most likely will be a long time before they have a team like this again

Frankfort will be a top program in the new AA. Might not have a team like this but they’ll consistently be competing. Much weaker classification than the old AA with powerhouses like Bridgeport(when they were in it) and Fairmont dominating. Bluefield is the only program I see being out of frankforts weight class should they get their act back together.

Congrats to Frankfort. Fans taking to social media to say this is the best Frankfort team all-time isn't reality though. The 2014 team that ran the table was legit. They just had to face Bridgeport in the title game. Just like we see with watering down Maryland competition to six classes, WV had to move to four classes to finally open the Frankfort door. Getting put back in Class AA in August (which is where they belonged) was huge. They were not going to win in the next class up much like their Falcon predecessors.

After seeing this, I started looking up the 2014 team they only beat Keyser 28-27 in ot, Keyser also lost to FH that year 28-20. Hampshire 20-14, a playoff game by 6 points there must have been many good teams that year
