What is everyone’s thoughts on Friday's game. I am on the fence with this one. I believe Old Mill will have the win by 4 touchdowns.

Once again, it's hard to judge how good OM is because NC is really bad. Now I'll qualify my statements because The only plays that I saw were on Maxpreps. OM is very big on offense and the QB can toss the ball down field to very good receivers. (4 of their 9 tds were via pass.) However, the QB had no pressure and his receivers were wide open. In short, they played pitch and catch. I like FH's defensive backfield. It's going to be fun to watch these matchups. FH needs to put pressure on the QB. He's big and their line is huge. NC couldn't get to him but I think that FH's defense has better feet. It's hard to judge how strong OM's line really is, but they had no problem matching up with NC. The question is getting off the blocks. That is a must. I didn't see anyone carry the ball but they did have one back have a 63 yard game so they can run.

On offense, FH needs to keep the ball, run the clock, and score. OMG I'm sounding like Barry! LOL They cannot turn the ball over. NC turned it over 5 times, plus they had a kickoff returned for a td. OM played with 3 and 4 man fronts. They had a lot of guys standing up and flying to the ball. The line is going to have their hands full

My prediction is FH 31 OM 19. The way it looked, OM was 5 for 9 on extra point attempts. I'm hoping that this will bite them on Friday!

Old Mill played pretty sloppy. Kudos to the Sentinels for taking advantage of the opportunities. Nice points, beating a 4A

Didn't matter. Old Mill's offensive coaching staff ensured that their team was not gonna win this game.
Perhaps Old Mill's offense was less-than productive because of Fort Hill's defense. :)

I have to give it to the coaching staff and players. They came to play with a solid game plan. FH was well prepared to play against Old Mill's strength - their passing game.

It was rather obvious outside of the throwing game Old Mill had no answers offensively.

Sure helps when your opponent runs the same screen concept over 10 times in the same game even though every other one is going for a penalty or a meaningless gain. Good win at home for Fort Hill though and it was good to see some meaningful football being played at the stadium.

I'm a FH fan, but what game were you watching? Wide open OM receivers dropped a bunch of passes. Once OM had to rush [hurry up], they started making mistakes. They sort of imploded. Kind of like FH does when they get behind.

I give FH credit for playing a 4A school. However, FH's backs don't have vision - except for #11. And, they need to work on short passes. Forget about the long ball until you successfully complete the short passes consistently.

Can't wait to see the MR game. If FH does well against MR, I'll be very impressed at that point. Hopefully, #6 is ok and everyone will stay healthy.

I'm just saying it like I see it.

Halftime fly on the FH locker room wall...

"Let them throw their screens. Let them have the outs and the flats. We are going to take away their Deep Thirds and Deep Halfs and make that big arm No. 7 throw it short all day under our rotation pressure."

Maybe that is why Old Mill had to throw so many screens and most everything short. That was not the case in the first half. Old Mill QB likes to chuck it deep if you watched their game last week. FH coaches saw it. Not tonight because it was taken away in the 2nd half, even with their best cover man missing. FH got great pressure as well. The #77 sophomore Hess is full time beast mode on both sides of the ball. He has to be the best sophomore lineman at FH I have seen in a very, very long time if ever.

Kudos to the FH coaching staff - fantastic adjustments at the half both offensively and defensively.

My main armchair QB constructivity would be to throw the ball more out of the base wing-T formation with one split end. No need to go shot gun/multiple receiver on obvious passing situations. It tips the hand way too often. That and the FH receiving tree routes need much work. Sending out two receivers 15 yards deep makes it a 25 yard throw for the QB with no short option. Play action under center and toss it where the linebackers used to be. Use the run to set up the short pass says Capt. Obvious.

What game were you watching? OM dropped some passes, but to say a bunch is just wrong. Kudos to the FH staff and players after last weeks lackluster performance. Especially Coach Lewis on the improvement in the line play. "That's not the same team we saw on film" said the parent of one of the OM players to us late in the game. FH were very physical and I think that caught the OM players off guard. Good to see that FH had more cohesion in getting the plays in.

Waggle, FH did a lot right. They did do well on defense and played better than they did against Northern. You have to admit, the offense struggled, though. They had some breakthrough plays on defense that gave them enough momentum to move the ball. The defense definitely deserves some kudos for keeping FH in the game. However, when starting on their own side of the field, they couldn't move the ball consistently. The RBs were missing the holes and the QB had throw-it-deep syndrome. This OM team was mediocre, at best. With some more work on offense FH can be consistently competitive. However, you can't create talent through wishing, coaching or otherwise. All you can do is adapt, compensate, and selectively double-team. And you certainly can't give your players false accolades that they're exceptional when they're...not. Build their confidence with practice and hard work. Make them believe they can win, but only when they give 110%. Every...single...play. Make them want it. Tell them the truth.

I wish FH the best of luck the rest of the season! Hopefully, it will all be played.

Beats Fort Hill for the first time out of around 15 tries(in a damn spring game), and become the new kings of area football

They ain’t no kings of football. They may have a good team this year but face it...That ridge as I call them will not beat FH.

MR will not beat FH. They play later in the year FH will be so much better at that point. MR is peaking now which is early.

I hate to say it but after two weeks the passing game looks to be the same passing game FH has had forever...and that is not a good thing.

Quarterback definitely made a lot of questionable decisions with the football as well. Made some plays with his legs though
