will go to Keyser on 9-11. Fort Hill This has been posted on the WV board. The series should have never been interrupted.
2 years too late. Missed out on what may have been a solid match up last season, and what could've been a decent enough game in 2018. Oddly convenient that right after FH loses via running clock in the playoffs that Keyser is back on the schedule. Oh well at least the series is resumed

Now that the cat is out of the bag....It was a crazy ordeal to get FH and Keyser together on the field. Five teams had to be involved.

- Petersburg originally was set to play Keyser Sep. 11. For Keyser to be open to play FH on Sep. 11 they had to move that game. But Petersburg already had a full schedule outside of a bye week on Sep. 25.

- Petersburg moved their Oct. 23 game with Moorefield to September 25 where luckily Moorefield also had an opening.

- Keyser then moved their Sep. 11 game with Petersburg to Oct. 23, where Keyser had an opening.

- FH then picked up the Sep. 11 opening Keyser had now.

- Of course all this started because Weir dropped Keyser and allowed the talks between FH and Keyser to become more of a reality.

So 5 teams were involved to make this all happen. If any thanks were to be sent out they would go to Ed Forshey, the WV schedule master, for helping to come up with this above scenario to make the game happen. Then of course, Keyser AD Lori Wilson gets a big thank you for working with Petersburg and Moorefield to make the switches. Most of all, a huge thanks has to go out to both Petersburg and Moorefield. These are things that can happen when everyone works together and does right by students. Many, many thanks to all those folks! Blessings.

I've been told that Hollidaysburg and Fort Hill series was done, hopefully not true but it will suck to see them gone from the schedule

Hollidaysburg and FH are set for 2 more years. However, Hollidaysburg may be forced at some point by their respective county to join a league or at least become an affiliate to another PA league because of travel costs/budgets and ease of scheduling. It's very rare to find an Independent PA school. Everyone is in a league there. Chestnut Ridge used to be another Independent but found out the hard way it is costly not to be in a league when everyone else around you is in a league. All schools that play Hollidaysburg were given fair warning last fall. Up to this point nothing has changed and the game set for Greenway Week 4 this fall is a go. That always can change however. You just hope that if it does change, they give you enough time to fill the slot. Homer DeLattre is both the Hollidaysburg head football coach and AD. He is a really nice guy and has been a blessing for FH giving them a much needed opponent for frosh, jv and varsity football the past 4 seasons. It's only an hour drive from Cumberland.

It is certainly nice to see two old rivals/friends get it back together. Like Todd said, the secret seems to remain friendly with the others schools for the sake of the players. What a difference it is when a coach leaves and another takes over. I am sure the gate for both schools is a significant choice too.
Now if we can get more locals to come back on board...Frankfort, Hampshire and some of the MVAL teams...then scheduling could be a much easier task.
Congrats Todd on making this all happen... :)
