Last year, Alco had an excellent plan on offense that was geared not only to move the ball, but to also take it's toll on FH's fullback (on the defensive side of the ball). - they used their motion man/wing back SOLELY for the purpose of laying a monster block on Dekari Darr from his DE position. Almost on every single play. They would run the motion man at full speed and have him key on Darr. To the point of Darr getting blasted so many times he left the game with a rung bell. Is it possible that had an effect on Darr's ability to hold the ball? Maybe. Thus the fumbles.
FH eventually picked up on that, made some adjustments, and at that point took over the game. But it was a very smart game plan to work to neutralize one of FH's biggest offensive weapons on the other side of the ball. Unfortunately for Allegany, Ty Johnson was there to take over.
This year, that specific plan won't work as FH's two biggest offensive weapons are in the defensive secondary. I'm anxious to see though, if Alco works to incorporate some type of offensive scheme to that same end. Say what you want about the Korn, but he has a good coaching staff around him as well.
Either way, I think Homecoming will be relatively low scoring, in comparison to the rest of FH's games. I think bigredthunder has a good guess at the score of 28-20. Perhaps I'll give #17 a FG in the mix and make it 31-20 as the final.
