Fort Hill won Homecoming and then 2 weeks later defeated Allegany in the playoff game. Both were 2A schools at that time. Counting the 1994 game, the two have met in the playoffs a total of 7 times (1994, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012), the 2015 game next Friday will mark the 8th. Great stats! The fact that these two teams have met this many times in the past 10 yrs. is amazing... I wish the format was setup to where they could play for the State Championship because they are clearly the best 2 teams in 1A. It sucks that they have to play each other so early in the playoffs almost every yr.

The numbers suggest it. FH has one more playoff win and the winner of homecoming has all but one win of both games.

Throw out the one game, the Allegany upset game of 2009, and what is most telling to me, is the fact that the Homecoming winner not only wins but exceeds the margin of victory the next time.

The commercial vid of the game is available and I saw him take a huge hit to his shoulder. Warts and all, Allegany has become a hard-scrabble football team - no quit in 'em.
