I think everyone knows the support for Fort Hill sports is awesome. Last evening the F club posted they were $275 short of the money needed to pay the state so the FH playoff game could be televised delayed. They received donations for the $275 quick. I’m not sure how quick, but I know it was in under 2 hours.

The F Club and the FHHS Band Parents are like well-oiled machines.
The willingness to volunteer time and/or give financially on the south side of town is like no other in MD.
It has its roots in the blue collar south Cumberland neighborhoods of the 40s and 50s. Money was not given to the school for extra-curricular activities - it was earned by the time and sweat of many volunteers.
This post is not to downplay any other school community, but if FHHS needs something there will always be people to work for the need via donating time and/or finances.
