What are elite football players saying about their opponent this weekend on the field? Find out now!

Player: Walter Johnson quarterback Josh Forburger

Opponent: Wootton

How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“The season has been off to a great start. We are 4-0 for the first time since the 1960s. All of our work in the offseason is coming together on the field and we are starting to really show everyone who WJ really is.”

Who is your next opponent What are your thoughts on them overall?
“Our next game is Wootton. They have been struggling this year, but they have beaten us in past years. They will not be overlooked.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“We can improve upon our simple and little mistakes that tend to usually happen during games. We tend to have a few dumb penalties, a few missed assignments, and other simple mistakes that we can be easily fixed that will make us a much sharper team to come.”

Player: Annapolis wide receiver Demari Turner

Opponent: Northeast

How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“The team is very young and eager to get at it. We have a good group of seniors, including myself, and we are looking forward to having a better season than our last.”

Who is your next opponent? What are your thoughts on them overall?
“Our next opponent will be the Northeast Eagles. They are a defensive team first that will test our ability to throw the ball, which in my eyes shouldn’t be a problem. Our offensive line will be putting in work every quarter and every down.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I would say that every team has stuff they need to improve on , but with us mainly we feel the game out and let the other team’s flaws and issues get to them while we keep our head in the game. We think about the team before we start to use what my Coach Nick Good-Malloy taught me all my four years, which is called BCD. B stands for blame, c stands for complain, and d stands for defend when we face an issue on or off the field.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“Our team can improve on focusing more and executing better at every position.”
