FH ranked 14 in state preseason poll - only 1A team included

It's time for everyones favorite poll the state media rankings.

FH ranked 14. Dunbar only 1A team getting a vote outside the Sentinels.

At first I thought #14 was too low for Fort Hill, then I remembered that each of the last 4 years the defending State Champion Sentinels were lower in first poll following winning the Championship the previous year, then steadily moved up the entire season until ending up in the Top 10. A bit surprised that no other 1A team was in the poll considering how many teams dropped down to 1A this year. Will be interesting to see how the year shakes out.

1A never gets no love in these polls unless your the State Champs from the previous yr.

Yeah, I agree with that, but there are some real power houses by name reputation alone in 1A this year. And for the most part, I can see why 1A hasn't and doesn't get much love in this poll, how many years have we been saying how bad 1A football was?
