FH at Perryville set for Saturday at 1:00

I watched Patterson Mill versus Perryville. Patterson ran a very similar offense to Fort Hill. They used the Maryland I much of the game. I was impressed how physical they are.

That style won't work well against us.

Unless they are going down on Friday, it's probably a 7 to 8 am departure time. Even earlier than normal wake-up time. Long day even before kick-off.

With all due respect to posters, be grateful FH is in the playoffs.

One week later and things could have been much different.

Teams travel to FH during the playoffs all the time.

Other county sports’ teams often times leave at 6 or 7 in the morning for a regional and/or state championship game/match/meet that is 2-3 hours away.

FH will be fine even if they have to leave early in the morning.

As a FH grad and fan, I have noticed over the last several years an enemy of those of us who live in this area is often times a “victim mentality.”

Instead, let’s be grateful!

Great post. We should all be thankful for high school sports! Also those types of situations often help players learn great life lessons through small doses of adversity.

I look at it the other way. All great athletes and teams can manufacture a chip on their shoulder through the smallest thing. Travel time and time of kickoff may be bitched about here and looked at as “victim mentality” but is looked at as fuel to the fire by the teams and athletes

Date and time Zack's choosing?
The day and time was worked out between Allegany County and Cecil County athletic directors with each coaches wishes on the table. I got that the original time was set for 12 noon Saturday and got pushed back to 1:00. I believe FH probably wanted a Friday game - not positive.

If I had a complaint it would only be for selfish personal reasons. Hate missing Ohio State vs. Michigan, Auburn vs. Alabama, Notre Dame vs. USC, etc. Bummer. I have to say the new 12 team playoff format for college is intriguing. It makes all kinds of games these next two weeks very entertaining with everything on the line for so many teams that normally would be out of any championship discussion.

I am done with travel ball next year for the youth leagues. A tournament will prevent me from attending the game at Perryville this Saturday. Otherwise, I would be there bright and early on Saturday.

watching live feed and listening to radio stupid first half Perryville penalties keeping FH in the game 14-7 Perryville

The Perryville QB transfer this year, did he play the entire year or start later in the season? Could be why they had those 2 losses

Perryville has receivers open a good passing game and they keep running. Perryville shoots themselves in the foot again, fumbled on FH 18 yard line after driving. Another nice break for FH

Fort Hill is very fortunate to only be down 4. They have been outplayed very badly so far.. thank God for the kickoff return for a touchdown iand Jabril running 77 yards on pure talent by bouncing to the outside when . There was no hole..

Adjustment is simple. Send shook to the bus and lock him in the luggage compartment. His play calls from the first snap have been clueless. FH runs the Maryland I for 60 yards, gets into the red zone and then asks cassle to try to throw twice. He’s lucky the screen attempt wasn’t picked off.

Defense is simple too. Tell the edge rushers to stop rushing upfield and giving the QB an escape lane.

Who's doing the offensive play calling (rhetorical)? I know there are a few on here who are critical of armchair coaching, but that last series was very poor clock management for FH. Where was the pound-it-up the middle that FH is so fond of. It was starting to work. Not on every play, but the counters and misdirections were succeeding. Perry is a decent throwing team with good receivers that are very good on pass coverage. Why not some middle screens with them blitzing so much. Get #5 more touches, too. They're keying on #3 and #25. Alternate carries. And where's # 1, is he injured???

Get this second half and have a Northern FH Final. Perryville has athletes it will take coaching adjustments

FH play callers need some serious reflection as to what in the gods name they are doing with all the talent besides #3...c'mon up the middle to #3 on 4th and 1...why didn't you just hand them the ball?

FH 24-21 good win! Perryville definitely kept FH in the game first half. FH came out and controlled the second half.

FH looked exhausted, uninspired, and they were out coached from the first snap and somehow managed to win despite all of that. The 3 roads trips looked like it finally caught up to them and the 7:30 bus trip this morning seemed like the final nail in the coffin. Hopefully Zach takes the team down Friday night for state so they don’t again have to make a 4 hour trip and play a game straight of the bus.

the coaches made great 2nd half defensive adjustments by dropping into a zone and making their QB a pocket passer. The defensive edges did a great job staying in their lanes and forcing the QB to step up right into a bull rushing Willison. They held perryville to zero first downs and I would guess under 20 yards total in the second half.

Offense just couldn’t get out of its own way. Credit to perryville for that. I’ve never seen a team sit in a 5-3-2 and be able to stop FH the way they did. The play calls remained clueless. Jabril should’ve had 30 carries over the left side that second half and I think he had 4. The play that summed up the offense was when cassle turned the wrong way and ran into jabril and all jabril could do was stare at the sideline and throw his hands up.

One more bus trip and everyone can sleep and rest as much as they want. On to northern
