Can someone explain the punt fair catch and the free kick from the tee for a field goal?? They lined up like a kick off and tried a 60yr field goal??????

It's the fair catch kick rule. If you call for a fair catch on a punt. You are allowed a free kick from the spot where the ball was caught. It is a rule that is rarely used.
Im not sure about in College but they have it in the NFL. I have only seen it done 2 times. Both times was right before halftime with only couple seconds left. Here is more on the rule. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_catch_kick
