Just wanted to pass along some information. Many of you know of Ed who runs the wvtailgatecentral board and does so much for high school sports all across WV and the US. He had a heart attack yesterday. From what his son has been telling everyone he is alive and recovering. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. Such a good guy!

I went to hospital thinking I had a muscle strain in my back and shoulders after work
Never had any chest pain
1 minute into the ER I'm rushed into a Cath Lab having a heart attack
7 stints and 3 hours of surgery later I wake up in recovery in a ICU unit
went home at 4 pm Tuesday
made me realize quickly heart attacks are more than chest pain
long ways back but I'm determined to be at Parkersburg Big Reds Football on 8/30 in the press box

Please continue to have Ed in your prayers. He was admitted back to the hospital early this morning and transferred to another hospital. Prayers going up ED. For you and your family bud.

Happy to report I'm finally home after 37 days
1st local Camden Clark on 4/4 when I went to ER thinking I had a shoulder injury
only to be there 1 minute when a nurse state he has a heart attack
rushed to cath lab 7 stents later I'm in ICU
sent home on Thursday 4/11 only to have a collapse on Saturday 4/13
Riding in passenger seat of my car I collapsed into my wifes lap who was driving
shocked by a life vest 9 times
Rushed back to Camden by Ambulance at about 10 pm
Getting there I code
Dr Chris Miller reacted quickly and saved my life
I'm transported to Ruby in Morgantown on 4/14
On Monday 4/15 at about noon I code again
CPR and 4 shocks brought be me back
I'm taken to a Cath lab where 4 more stents are inplanted
Kept at Ruby for recovery till 4/22 where I'm transferred to Allegany General in Pittsburgh
the problem I had VTech it causes your heart to pound at about 120 beats per minute then slow down to less than 10 per minute a deadly combo
Dr Shmidt at Ruby found the starting and ending of the VTech on about 20 rhythmn cycle strips each started at same point and ended at same point
Morgantown was looking at about 7 days before they could do any thing so to give me a chance I was transferred to Pittsburgh where Dr Kahmar stated you don't need it cut out its controllable with right medicine amounts so on 4/25 a defibelater is put in my heart
On 4/27 I'm finally back in Parkersburg at heath South for rehab to get stronger
On 5/9 I'm finally back in my own house
Thank God for answering Prayers
I kept telling everyone
The Devil isn't getting me and God doesn't want a Big Reds Angel today
If this isn't one crazy series of events I don't know what would be
