This Allegany team has loads of talented athletes. Can’t end the season after one game got away from them. The coaches and players won’t give it up!

Thanks mc coke for the level-headed response. We must remember that these are 15-18 year old kids who are going to have bad nights just as we have bad days as adults. Kids this age are also very resilient and will bounce back after adversity. One game never defines a season and athletes must have very short memories.
Allegany usually does a great job with their kids. Although in recent years FH has gotten the best of them they have challenged and fought FH like few other teams. If it weren't for the broken playoff system in Maryland a few of the years it could have been an all Allegany County 1A championship.
I have no idea why the numbers are down but most schools struggle wit this at some point. Sometimes you have groups of students moving through your school who just don't have the desire to play football. It can be a year run or sometimes it's a two or three year run which is hard on a program. I wish them the best not only for this year but also for the future.
