With local FH standout Ty Johnson hitting and sticking with the Lions, it made me wonder. I know there was a player from Mt Ridge a year or two back that made it for a while on the Jaguars. I also remember a lotta years back that Wes Ours ,from at the time Beall , played a few pro games for the Steelers and maybe the Colts? What other local players made it to the pros from the local area and what high school did they play for? Especially interested in those those from the 80’s and later.

Jarrod Harper - former Ridge RB/DB who started for WVU at Safety. Was with the Jags all preseason a couple years ago, but had a significant injury that didn't let him make the roster. From what I hear, he had a decent shot if he hadn't gotten injured.
