4th-and-22???

That was actually just an incredible catch showing great focus by Raen Smith and even more impressive knowing he tacked on the extra yardage for the first down with the YAC after that reception. I would go so far to say that was probably the play of the game if you want to label those type of things. And it was on the opening drive.

Some of the plays being made by Graves on defense go a long way as well, including the game sealing pick.

Anyone that didn't think this game would be a good one was fooling themselves.

This may have been Coach Tim Foley's last game, not 100% sure...that's for him to announce if so. But I tip my hat to him for all his years of working with local kids at places like Frankfort and Southern too. This Camper defense was exceptionally tough. Thanks coach!

I agree that was the play of the game. Tim Foley has been a great assistant coach and we will miss him. I will never forget that yr. he took over for Preaskorn. that was the last yr. we won homecoming and he even took us to the State Championship Game. I hate to see this guy go...

Foley has been a great defensive coach for about 30 years. Many people forget he was the defensive mastermind behind Frankfort's unscored on season.

As for the 4th and 22. Did anyone notice the formation? Raen Smith was lined up at left tackle that play as an eligible receiver (16:00 mark of CV stream). According to Graves on the commercial video interview after the game they put the play in earlier in the day.

Looks to me like the same pass play used against Sherando. That toss over the middle should have been expected. Nonetheless, it showed great focus by Smith to complete the catch. The gods of football just didn't smile on Allegany. Normally, that ball gets dropped or the defense is really looking for it.

agreed, very similar to the play Allegany won on last week, very predictable, defense should've known, perhaps even intercepted but at the very least disrupted it....

Very predictable... Lmao.

I don't think I was suggesting it was the guaranteed call, or the only call. But the pass over the middle to Smith is a 'go to' call for FH even if they need more than 10 yards - Alco should have been looking for it. The thing is, you can't defend everything perfectly. I would also suspect that a pass down the sideline hoping for a penalty is not a bad call under those circumstances. Point here is that Smith made a great catch and a great run. I rank it as high as Imes' run in the first game. Let me add that one thing Allegany lacked is that extra 'go to' call they can make. Imes to Rhodes is too frequently their only call.

How many times was that throw used last night? I counted twice.

I did get through the first half of the vid. FH dominated the line of scrimmage. Clearly the better team. The touchdown pass was equally a good call.
