Frankfort has Berkeley Springs scheduled and I'm not 100% sure but believe it is 9/14.
Anyone know if Northern ever got a game for week 5 (week of 9/28) or are they just playing 9 again?
Alco "8-1" going into Homecoming, Big Red "?". Both teams lost a good many horses from both sides of the line, time will tell a whole lot!
As far as local Md teams go, Mt Ridge looks perhaps to have the most demanding schedule considering their past success.. They could have a pretty solid team and still come out 4-6 or 5-5 at best. Tough sledding for the Miners this year!
Just a lil info I've gleaned from other threads and tried to concentrate all together. FH preseason schedule is seen above in their schedule. Alco scrimmages at South Hagerstown annual 4 way at 6p.m. on 8/17 and then host Smithsburg on 8/24 at 6 p.m. Mt Ridge will host Southern on Saturday 8/18 starting at 10 a.m. and then Southern will travel to Brunswick on 8/23 for a 7p.m. scrimmage. Would like to hear from anyone who may know Northern or rest of Mt Ridge schedule. Also, when does the WCBC shows start? Is that just the first week of the season or do they do something prior?
I spoke to a Loudoun Valley Coach today that put a message in to the ALCO AD about trying to get both teams to 10 games, but he hadn’t heard back as of this morning. LVHS is flexible with date. They are open on 9/7 and 9/21 and would consider coming to Greenway.
He thinks it would be a 50/50 game, even though they are a larger school. And suggested that home field and coaching would likely be the advantage. He was also excited about the possibility of his team experiencing Greenway Ave Stadium.
I’d love to see the boys get a 10th game. Especially if it’s up here. I hope they can figure it out.

Would be a good trip if FH picked up Valley for a home and away starting in 2019. Purcellville has some really good food joints and several brew pubs. It's a nice town. Would be good games.
This site has the Boonsboro scrimmage at home. The Boonsboro site has the scrimmage listed at Boonsboro. Do you know where it is?
I recently moved from Pville, and they have two competitive HS football programs in Loudoun Valley, and even more so with Woodgrove, which opened around 2010. And yes, a nice town with great food... Both venues could easy accommodate a Cumberland crowd (FH / Alco). Would be great if a contract could happen.
Maybe Todd will have to answer this, but I'm wondering as to how FH gets 8 (really 9) home games this year? I can't think they will only get 2 home games next year. I always imagined if you scheduled a team, they wanted at least a home and home series. Is FH that powerful that they can ask and expect teams they schedule to accept these terms? Not pointing fingers, just curious.....
Actually FH plays 8 games at Greenway in 2018 including Homecoming. The road games are Southern and Silver Oak.
mccoke is correct. Allegany, Mountain Ridge and Silver Oak are year to year contracts.
Well, in that case you can't really blame Fort Hill if teams agree to the Home and Done one year schedule appearance. Every AD would love to have 8 home games. But then again, on the flip side, can't just say "other schools don't want to play Fort Hill" if they are given the ultimatum "you can come to our house for a game but we will not return the favor". Greenway is a nice facility but It isn't "Jerry's Dome". And why would ALCO/FH be a year to year agreement, that homecoming game should continue in perpetuity....or at least until consolidation.....
I would not go so far to say "you can come to our house for a game but we will not return the favor". FH begs for two year deals, one here one there. The other team wants the $$$ not the two year deal.
The Silver Oak, Mountain Ridge and Alco games do not have a working contract. They are just as you say a "perpetuity". They always play unless told otherwise is the way it goes.
Oh ok.. well, if it is offered and then refused , then nothing more can be said. I was wondering because it always seems like every year FH is looking each year for games to fill their schedule and having to reach out further and further to get a game. It seems these 2 or 4 year deals would ease some of that "scrambling". But if you cannot get them to agree, then the point is mute.
