Why….

I will second the opinion that cheerleaders shaking hands with the opposing football players is weird. Why in the world did this even start?
Not really. They play Fort Hill in the second round.. Then thier season is over. I should have made it more clear. I’m talking about getting out of the region. I want to see what they can do against other teams.Allegany gets in the playoffs regardless.
I’ve found that you have to click the game you want to watch right when the game goes live and they won’t just connect you straight to the game if you log in a few minutes early, it’s given me the technical difficulties screen quite a few times also.I agree.
Has Commercial Video ever considered offering a subscription service to the local schools to live televise games? CVS could then give some of the profit back to the schools. The schools might even make more. The benefit is you might get some locals to at least pay for the subscription, even if they refuse to go to the games in person. And, I bet a lot more out-of-area people would pay for the quality of CVS's broadcasts vs NFHS. It could possibly be expanded to include other local area games (soccer, baseball, basketball, etc). I'm sure there are hurdles other than the business viability. Possibly worth exploring since you can't force people to come to the games in person. However, you can make it easier for those that can't or won't.
Just a thought.
it’s pretty important that FH was able to jump from the overall 4 into 3 just due to possible travel and fan support. That 1 hour trip to boonesboro rather than ocean city is the difference in hundreds of fans showing up vs tens of fansSo, barring upsets, FH will be playing away later in the playoffs?
So, barring upsets, FH will be playing away later in the playoffs?Perryville, Patterson Mill and Brunswick all lost this week.
That leaves Cambridge and Boonsboro ahead of FH in points.
Allegany gets in the playoffs regardless.I would love to see Alco get in the playoffs. I think that run game is pretty special right now. Let’s go Keyser
If anyone should be broadcasting live with announcers it is Commercial Video. Period.
Asking FH to provide announcers and make sure the NFHS cameras are working is a complete joke. Last year Allegany County schools made like $300 per school from NFHS. That doesn't cover it, not even close.
I dont believe in live streaming games though unless it can offset the cost of fans who don't go to the game. If u live in Allegany County and complain about NFHS, I have zero sympathy for your problem.
"Relative deprivation" Golly doc, yous mighta just alienated half the fine folk that visit this chatter spot. Us poor Appalachians ain't gots disposable incomes for eye-phones 37z or that quick twitch broadbands. You tell me my bad connections is another way for the man to keep me down? I see it. Nutter social con-struct. Glad they cut down them ol pines a while back. There's nuttin like the view from the cheap seatsI also have no sympathy for those not attending games in person and contributing to the culture and atmosphere. Heck, Dave Christopher could barely walk and handle the heat and he was even at all away games up to the last moment. The people that sit at home, unless you are completely unable to move yourself and don’t have any assistance at all and cry about NHFS quality or not being able to a watch a local HS game on the internet are sad and funny at the same time. It’s another example of the relative deprivation we fall into with ever-growing convenience through technology.
Perryville, Patterson Mill and Brunswick all lost this week. It's a bonus point for FH. They're going to need all they can get.
East/WOI just beat undefeated Canandaigua (8-0) tonight 42-35. I have no idea where the entire state of NY football exists on the competitive chart but I'm guessing real low.
I see. Score stream was showing me a game in October. My bad.Clear Springs is 5-3. They beat Southern Huntingdon tonight
Clear Springs is 5-3. They beat Southern Huntingdon tonightWell I was completely wrong. Clear Spring loses to Tussey Mountain making them 2-4 in the West and creating a pretty wild finish.
Wonderful. They're still selling a service they don't support. The AI is crappy on a really good day. So, why not contact FH and withdraw them from the program if NFHS requires their interaction for providing a paid service NFHS is selling?Network members have the option of automated or manual production (or both). With automated production, no staffing is required. Al-powered cameras will follow all the event action and stream your events for live and on-demand viewing. With manual production, we provide the platform and tools for you to produce your own broadcasts and reach a wider audience.
Since its launch seven years ago, the NFHS Network has supported high schools and state associations by streaming sports and activities that celebrate student athletes and by sharing revenue. The NFHS Network has already distributed more than $33 million to schools and state associations — over $8 million in the last 12 months alone. To help schools manage the challenges caused by COVID-19 for the 2020-2021 school year, we'll share even more of the revenue earned with each Annual Pass purchase.
What is the High School Support Program?
Schools and athletic programs need support more than ever. This program is a simple way for you to join us in providing funds to your favorite NFHS Network high school.
In addition to revenue distributions, the NFHS Network is giving away automated camera production units to schools at no cost as a means to stream their events to fans who are unable to attend. Through the first two months of this program, we have given away over 4,000 automated cameras to over 2,500 unique schools. This influx of new schools has led to an increase of over 200% in live viewership through the first two months of the school year, which will in turn lead to more money being distributed back to schools.

Why should I join in?
The NFHS Network has always distributed a percentage of every subscription to our schools. The High School Support Program helps them generate even more money. Through this program schools receive a larger share of the revenue from Annual Subscriptions.
How does it work?
When you purchase an Annual Pass select the school you want to support and they'll receive a portion of the subscription.

I understand what you're saying, but they should make that clear to the consumer don't you think?
Well I was completely wrong. Clear Spring loses to Tussey Mountain making them 2-4 in the West and creating a pretty wild finish.I didn't know anything about the team they are playing this weekend. But a stumble by them would really make things crazy,
Does NFHS state somewhere that the service I'm paying for is contingent on the school "manning" the cameras or that content availability is just a crapshoot?that's not how it works, NFHS just supplies the camera and network, Each School is supposed to set up for each event.
99% of the schools on NFHS do a great job, The Local Schools Do NOT!!
Most schools have announcers and update the score all the time on the screen.
