Fort Hill to forfeit all six victories?

Just my opinion. I consider myself a sensible person. Everyone knows where said kid is from. As much as FH has been accused of using address ineligible athletes, you would think that they know what paperwork needed to be processed. (which I personally believe they do) That being said INELIGIBLE is INELIGIBLE. What bothers me is WHY NOW? I just can't imagine any area program using a "marginal player at best" if there is even an inkling that said player may be ineligible. If someone gave FH bad information, or the system failed, I think that the system or person needs to be penalized, not the student athletes.
So what is the process of enrolling in ACPS system?

IF

There is no bad blood from Fort Hill to Frankfort. Nobody cares about Frankfort. . They’re football program is irrelevant.
It must not be too irrelevant Tony. There former head coach called our All-State QB after his junior year and asked him to come over to FH. He did not leave, to loyal to his friends and classmates. That is a fact based on a conversation with that player. In addition to that Friend, Poling and Raley were all lured away not by FH coaches but rather faithful FH fans who saw it necessary to bad-mouth Frankfort and their athletic programs. If we are irrelevant then why did their faithful deem it necessary to entice kids from the Frankfort district to jump ship?

I also know of many other players from other schools who ended up at FH. I'm not saying that they were recruited but they did enhance your roster and succes by transferring. I have no bad blood toward FH, I respect their program and what they do. I did not intend the post to go this way. But you choose to make a deragotory comment when it was not necessary.

That in itself bring up another point. I'm a WV guy so I have no dog in the fight. Honeslty we are more worried about competing at the state level in WV and I don't hear much mentioned about FH over here.

However, I do hear of hatred for FH from Alco, Mt. Ridge, Northern, Southern and even some die-hard long-time FH fans. It's never about FH's football program, players or coaches but rather the small but vocal group of fans who love to belittle and degrade other programs and their athletes.

IF

100% sure it was not any of the Frankfort Coaches, in any of the sports. More along the lines of someone who wanted their child to attend an Allegany county school lived out of state called the board office and was told of the cost so did not initiate the transfer. That person reported the family and then the investigation was launched and then the findings were revealed. The player in question has two younger siblings who attend Frankfort School also.

The bad blood goes both ways between FH and Frankfort but it is mostly the adults in the communities who harbor this hate. The kids get along fine and Coach Whteman and Coach Alkire have a very good relationship.

Fort Hill to forfeit all six victories?

The BOE approved the paperwork, not FH. And the latest press release stated that the BOE and FH had no knowledge that the info was falsified. I know the court of public opinion will say what it wants to say but it doesn't appear that anyone is at fault other than whomever falsified the info.

I think it does warrant more checks and balances from an admin standpoint for verifying out of district requests. Or residency changes.
This is spot on! Fort Hill should not be penalized but rather the person who falsified the address. Actually that is the person who is directly at fault for all of this. They knew the process, but choose instead to make their own rules. I know for 100% it was not a Frankfort Coach.

I can assure you that it did not. I will also say that I hope Fort Hill wins the appeal and does not have to forfiet their wins. The address given to the school was not the address the student was living at. That is not a school or sports program issue. You cannot punish coaches and athletes for something that was not of their fault.

Why now? That's another question that needs to be answered. How long did the anonymous source know this? This week or longer?

Fort Hill to forfeit all six victories?

If Alkire or any of his coaches knew about this, they should be terminated. Immediately.

I love FH, but this type of activity shouldn't be tolerated. Period.

That said, it truly sucks that the kids are going to be punished for this. All of their hard work throughout the year will be tarnished forever - even if they win a state championship. There should be severe consequences for everyone involved or in-the-know!

Maddox Twigg

Twigg is very impressive. Good athlete and can throw a good ball. He’s got a strong chance to be a D1 kid.

I don’t understand why he’d move to Morgantown to play HS ball though. I assumed he/his family wanted to play in a more modern offense with a better chance to air it out. Why then transfer to another school running the wing t, albeit a more gun based version then what he’d have gotten at Frankfort? That is purely speculation on my part though.
He likely wants to play at WVU.

Fort Hill to forfeit all six victories?

What do you expect if they allow a 5th year senior to fail a class on purpose so not to graduate and return for a 5th year of playing?

Not to mention if they were recruiting from WVA and giving fake addresses....or the Baltimore connection

It is all about the kids...........HA
Nah, it was a deep state operation to cause FH to forfeit games.

I like the response that theyll just have to run up the score now that they got caught cheating🤦👍

You know it isn't false? Tell me about it I'll listen. I have friends and relatives in Ridgeley and Fort Ashby. I have gone to watch Frankfort on more than one occasion, and I've heard the rumblings since this young man showed up at Fort Hill. There are people over there that hate Fort Hill and rejoice anytime they lose. If Whiteman comes out and says that his staff was not involved in this, I'll go along with it. But I know what is being said in Ridgeley. I'll even say I'm sorry and that I was wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.

IF

I don't believe that the kid got any playing time the first couple of games, but it really doesn't matter too much. My understanding is that he had a Maryland address. Anyway, Fort Hill will beat everyone in the West, it doesn't matter where they play.

I'm hearing that the Frankfort coach made the complaint. He was mad that the young man wouldn't play for him. I think that I'll be calling WV about the FH kid who lives on Mexico Farms Road who is playing for Frankfort. Give him a taste of his own medicine.
This is not true and this should be taken down, it is false information.

This is false about the Frankfort coach. You should delete this comment.
